Kangna Amardeep Ranaut, born on March 23, 1987, in Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, is a celebrated Indian actress, filmmaker, and politician. She made her Bollywood debut with Gangster (2006), earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Renowned for her strong and unconventional roles in female-centric films, Ranaut has won four National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. Her standout performances in films like Queen, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi—which she also directed—cemented her place in Indian cinema.
